Meet Wendy Vaks, PA-C

Wendy Vaks (Lukens) is a highly experienced Physician Assistant and North American Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (NAMS) dedicated to women’s health and wellness. A Lehigh Valley native, she graduated from Parkland High School in Orefield in 1996 and went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, PA in 2000.

She began her career in family practice and urgent care before moving into women’s health, working with St. Luke’s OB-GYN and later Grand View Health OB-GYN. Over the years, Wendy provided comprehensive care,

from routine exams to complex OB-GYN and sexual health needs. She quickly developed a strong passion for sexual medicine, menopause care, and supporting women through every stage of life.

After years of working in large healthcare networks, Wendy grew frustrated by the limitations on the time she could spend with her patients. Her priority has always been to provide truly personalized care—listening, educating, and guiding women with compassion. That commitment to patients led her to join Dr. Peters, a colleague she has known and respected for nearly 20 years, where she now feels honored to work alongside him.

Wendy believes in empowering her patients through education. She takes time to explain not only how to treat current concerns, but also how to prevent issues in the future. Her approach is to provide a “menu of options” tailored to each woman’s needs, helping them take control of their health and overall well-being.

Outside the office, Wendy lives with her husband Ed, their two sons, two stepsons, and a lively household that includes dogs and a cat. Her parents live close by, and she enjoys spending time with them as well. In her free time, she loves gardening, home projects, cooking and baking, jigsaw puzzles, and listening to Michael Bublé and Frank Sinatra. The beach is her favorite place to relax and recharge.

With her North American Menopause Society Certification (NAMS) and decades of experience in women’s health, Wendy is passionate about guiding women through transitions such as menopause with evidence-based, compassionate care.
